X-Ray Skeletal Tracking

The final product consists mainly of a 3D camera with body or limb recognition and tracking software. The technician will be interacting with the product through a screen displaying the position of the patient’s limb and the target angles. The 3D camera is mounted either somewhere in the Bucky room or on the X-ray tube itself. For the prototype, the camera had to be placed in a certain place in the room where it could see the entire body of the patient with nothing standing in the way. With changes to the software, however, where the camera can detect body parts and the relevant joint angles without having to see the whole body, the camera will be placed on the X-ray tube itself.
